Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE ROOKIE: So much romantic drama. I’m really glad the show is still diving into Lucy’s trauma and understandable concern about putting herself back out there. She should be gun shy about going on a date considering the last one nearly ended with her being killed after a particularly traumatic kidnapping.

I did really appreciate that Nolan’s informant getting too close to him was both not his fault and also something his team supported him with. (And Nyla and Michael’s chemistry was very cute. The show hasn’t been shy about pairing its regulars with notable guest stars and having it work, so I’m curious how far they take them.)

WESTWORLD: Wow, I did really think Lena Waithe and Marshawn Lynch were done with the show. Nope.

“Genre” was absolutely visually stunning. The way the show has utilized downtown Los Angeles has been incredible. And the notion of Genre messing with your head and essentially changing your perspective to think you’re in different stories? Brilliant.

I assume there’s a decent overlap between PERSON OF INTEREST viewers and WESTWORLD fans, so I assume I was not the only one thinking about the former CBS series during this episode.  The all-powerful/knowing machine, the subway…man, I miss POI.
