NBC has renewed WEAKEST LINK for a second season.
Production on the sophomore season, set to be 13 episodes, will begin later this year.
“Audiences have clearly embraced this smart, fun and completely addicting show, and it’s been a great addition to the NBC lineup,” said Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, in a statement. “A huge thank you to Jane, our friends at BBC Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio and everyone who has been instrumental in keeping the DNA of the original format intact while simultaneously adding new flourishes that make it as relevant and popular as ever.” Read more

ABC has shifted its Spring 2021 premiere plans.
The Thursday night block—of STATION 19, GREY’S ANATOMY, and A MILLION LITTLE THINGS—has been pushed back a week and will return on March 11. A MILLION LITTLE THINGS will move to Wednesdays in April (on the 7th), when Krista Vernoff’s new drama, REBEL, airs behind GA.

When FBI returns for its first original episode in 2021 (on Sunday, January 24), it’ll have one of the biggest lead-ins of the year: the AFC Championship Game.
With that many potential new eyeballs on the show, finding the right episode to air in the slot was key. Luckily for the writers, the answer was fairly simple.
