AMERICAN IDOL, THE GREAT NORTH, THE ROOKIE

THE GREAT NORTH: When Moon begins to doubt the existence of Bigfoot, Beef enlists the family’s help to get him believing again. Meanwhile, Honeybee gets a surprise visitor from Fresno in the “Keep Beef-lievin’ Adventure” episode of THE GREAT NORTH airing Sunday, April 11 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: It says a lot about how awful Burns is that I truly expected worse from his veggie burgers than just destroying the rain forest. (I thought meat, for sure, but would not have been surprised if it was beyond that.)

AMERICAN IDOL: I know I should be more upset about who got cut, but the wait between episodes and rushed nature made it kind of anticlimactic.

Chayce Beckham was good and Alanis Sophia was impressive. I didn’t LOVE Willie Spence this go-round, but he’s still one of my favorites. Grace Kinstler’s take on Sia was probably my performance of the night, though.

THE GREAT NORTH: Oh, I loved this and it’s also a story that feels uniquely TGN-y. Yeah, anyone around the world could believe in Big Foot, but making it such a part of their life feels authentically grounded to this show. (It also made me really excited about the inevitable holiday episode in season 2.)

ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST: Hoooowwwwww did Zoey not realize it was Emily who was in distress? It should not have taken as long as it did. But bravo to Alice Lee who absolutely destroyed that Demi Lovato song at the end.

BOB’S BURGERS: Ohhhh boy, those finger performers. 100% believe Tina would lose her mind over that.

FAMILY GUY: Also absolutely not surprised Brian would rather be the smartest* member of the Griffin family rather than the dumbest member of a new family.

*Stewie’s point IS correct, though; he is the (maybe evil) genius of the fam.

THE ROOKIE: Oh my God, that unexpected Andersen appearance?! I was so distracted (not in a bad way) by thinking about how Nolan and Chen were probably together in the flashback videos I didn’t even see that Andersen surprise coming.

Angela asking Tim to be her Man of Honor absolutely delighted me. And Jackson giving Lucy the necklace for protection? My heart. This show has some of the best/most underrated friendships.
