On the Tuesday, October 5 episode of FBI: MOST WANTED, the Fugitive Task Force is tasked with finding the person who killed a judge…which has emotional ramifications for the team.

“Once you get the call that a judge has been killed, you go into a particular mode,” Julian McMahon (Jess LaCroix) says.  “There’s a certain part—even though it’s peripheral—[that feels they are] part of the group; it’s part of the governmental lineage of what it is that we do. So, in a way, it’s one of your own, to a certain extent, even though it’s not an FBI agent. So you go into a very specific, almost protective, mode of, ‘Okay, we’ve got to take care of this really quickly, really quietly, and really  be on our game here.'”

But, naturally, the investigation gets complicated, forcing the FTF to reassess their approach.

“It actually develops into a case where you start to realize that the judge is probably not who you had thought and wished they would be,” McMahon teases. “And so that’s an interesting development, because once we kind of find out that he’s not the person we thought he was or wished he was, then we have to kind of dig into that. And that means that we’re traveling into the background, the history, and the problematic environment of one of our own. And so that becomes tricky.”
