GREY’S ANATOMY: Kate Walsh to Return for Season 19

GREY’S ANATOMY – “Hotter Than Hell” – Seattle’s favorite redhead returns and graces the Grey Sloan halls with her experience and expertise as she attempts to help Richard teach the newest crop of residents. Meanwhile, Meredith has a decision to make, and Link confides in Teddy on an all-new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, OCT. 14 (9:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/Eric McCandless)
KATE WALSH
Kate Walsh is set to return, again, to GREY’S ANATOMY in a recurring capacity, a rep for the show confirms.
She originally made her debut in the show’s season 1 finale, and was on series until the end of season 3, when she left to star in spinoff PRIVATE PRACTICE. She made occasional guest appearances on GA over the years, but did not appear from 2012-2021. (PRIVATE PRACTICE ended in 2013.)
Walsh’s return comes also GREY’S ANATOMY lead Ellen Pompeo will only appear in eight episodes this season, while five actors joined as new residents.
According to Variety, which was first to report the casting, Walsh’s first season 19 appearance will be episode 3.
