MAGNUM P.I. 5B Trailer: Is Change Coming for Magnum and Higgins?

MAGNUM P.I. has delivered a few memorable promos centered around Magnum (Jay Hernandez) and Higgins (Perdita Weeks)—and the new teaser for the show’s October return is teasing perhaps the biggest twist yet.

In the new video for the final 10 episodes of the series, Higgings tells her partner that she’s late. (It’s worth nothing NBC also teased a proposal during 5A, which turned out to be a dream sequence.)

Whether Higgins is actually pregnant or not, MAGNUM P.I. boss Eric Guggenheim did share earlier this year that the duo would discuss children.

“Things are gonna come up, and they’re going to start to wonder if they’re as aligned as they thought,” he previously told Give Me My Remote. “So, for us, there was more surprise I think in the second half as we started to figure out how they feel about certain things. How they feel about children, for example. What their views on religion or spirituality [might be]. And we started diving into them more as characters, and there were some surprises where we landed. There were more discoveries in the second half than in the first half.”
