After 146 days on strike, the WGA and studios have reached a tentative agreement on a new deal, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

An important caveat: The deal still needs to be presented to and approved by the members, so the strike has not ended yet. Even so, the guild has officially suspended their own picketing, pending the (hopeful) ratification of their contract; they are, however, encouraging members to go out to support SAG-AFTRA’s ongoing picketing. (SAG-AFTRA remains on strike; there’s no word yet on when the AMPTP will renew negotiations with the actors.)

The writers have been on strike since their contract expired on May 1. This has marked one of the longest WGA strikes in the guild’s history.

(Update, Tuesday, September 26: The strike will officially end on 12:01 am PT/3:01 am ET on Wednesday, September 27th, per the WGA.)
