Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: GREAT first Knockout between Team Reba’s Asher and Tae. I’m so glad Tae got three steals and is staying on the show.

Chance getting Kyle was hilarious and if he actually manipulated Dan+Shay to take Anya so he could shoot his shot…brilliant.

We have a really strong group of contestants this season. (Also: WTF was Keith Urban wearing? So many people mentioned how good he smelled!)

AMERICAN IDOL: I don’t know if I’ve ever felt such a difference in talent between THE VOICE and AMERICAN IDOL when they had episodes airing on the same night. Easily half of the singers in this batch shouldn’t move on, which was shocking. (The judges loved them! So I don’t know if the sound didn’t translate well, or what.)

DEAL OR NO DEAL: Oh, that key twist was good. Taking control over the game makes sense, but it really was a risk.

As soon as Alyssa kept saying she was confident, I was like, oh, she’s doomed. And she was. But eesh, that fight was uncomfortable.

And, look, we’re at the mercy of editing/editors. But from what we’ve seen, Stephanie is in the wrong. She didn’t have to go along with the early alliance, but she very, very, very publicly blew it up and jeopardized everyone’s game. She gambled she wouldn’t be in the place of tipping her hand, lost, and then made it everyone else’s problem. Again, entirely her right to not play someone else’s game plan. But she made them think she was going along with them and then not only blindsided them, she exposed things. So…
