MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Top 8 Dancers (L-R: Anthony, Dakayla, Madison, Jaylin, Braylon, Easton, Mariyah, and Roman) with host Cat Deeley in the “Broadway” episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airing Monday, Apr 22 (9:02-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. © 2024 Fox Media LLC. CR: Tom Griscom/FOX.

Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

MASTERCHEF JUNIOR: Oh, man, the challenges where they have to make the most perfect amount of something are so stressful—you can think you’ve done enough and then nope. And it’s so subjective.

But aw, everyone crying over Alfred was so bittersweet. It was very cute he went out after racing Gordon to the door…it’s lovely they let them be kids, even with the stress and stakes of this.

THE VOICE: I know it was a running joke, but everyone should have moved on! What a night. (I personally loved “Iris,” but there were so, so, so many good performances.)

AMERICAN IDOL: Oh, I love Abi, but that was not a good version of “All Too Well.” (And it was crazy to go from seeing it on THE VOICE to IDOL, in an episode that aired in the same time slot.) Once again, it really, really feels like the girls are running away with this season. That being said, Kayko was FUN.

It’s a bummer that Jayna and Roman were eliminated, though…it wasn’t deserved.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: We have seen so little of the dancing and I truly wish we would stop seeing the judges’ reactions to the routines as they’re happening. If it’s a really significant reaction, sure. But we’re still learning who they are and we need to become invested.

And, well, we certainly have a showmance brewing…

DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND: Aron changed the radio?! Oh my God. If he or Rob had gone home, I cannot imagine how much he’d be kicking himself.

Stephanie opting to lie—and lie really poorly!—was quite a choice. I’m so curious about what Nick thinks today, now that he has seen how she tried to manipulate him. I do feel bad for him, because it’s hard to not take that deal…but it meant the end of his game time.

Now, will people start to doubt Stephanie? Or will she lie her way out of things?
