Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

MASTERCHEF JUNIOR: Wow, I was fooled by Asher’s confidence, because it really seemed like he was on top of things and actually had it all down. Instead, it ended up being a bit of a mess. A bummer it led to him being cut.

THE VOICE: Well, we’ve gotten to the toughest part of the competition. On the bright side, there’s no obvious choice of who should go home. On the rough side…there’s no obvious choice of who should go home. Sigh. It was a great live kickoff show, though.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: I honestly get sad being sad about this show every week. I wish I cared more that we just revealed the top 4. Even the personal/reality storyline has been focused largely on two people. I think there is merit, perhaps, to this hybrid format, but I really hope if the show comes back they rethink so much. I miss having routines that destroy my heart and soul; that I think about years later. In many ways, this season feels like it has less soul than any other, despite letting us into their personal lives.

DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND: Oh my God, of COURSE we didn’t find out who made it. Like, on one hand, it felt obvious Rob’s note about not paying attention to the rules was going to bite him in the face. On the other, I’m kind of shocked it didn’t lead to his instant dismissal from the show. Also, Amy swearing on her kids and lying to Rob?! Oh, yeah, she deserves to not make it through. (It would be really funny if Howie Mandel was The Banker, right? I assume they won’t show the person, but it hit me that might be the most amusing outcome.)
