THE GOOD PLACE’s D’Arcy Carden (Janet) had one heck of a one-two punch of episodes with “Don’t Let the Good Life Pass You By” and “Janet(s).”
While “Janet(s)” was a stunning showcase of Carden’s talents, as she portrayed virtually all of the characters in their Janet-forms (thanks to them needing to hide out in her void), “DLtGLPYB” was its own challenge.

The wonderfully weird THE GOOD PLACE is going to a brave new world on Thursday: Janet’s (D’Arcy Carden) Void.
The Void, where Janet (and the other versions of her) lives when she’s not being summoned for information/items, has been mentioned on the NBC comedy before, but never previously seen. But with Janet bringing Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), and Jason (Manny Jacinto) there at the end of the last episode—to save them from certain death on Earth—it’ll be front and center in “Janet(s).”
