When KNIGHTFALL returns for its second season, it’s getting a high-profile new cast member: Mark Hamill.

In the sophomore season of the History series, Hamill plays Talus, “a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order.”

TrickstersTHE FLASH is no stranger to paying homage to the CBS 1990 series — after all the Barry Allen of that show was played John Wesley Shipp, who plays Barry’s father in The CW freshman hit — and in tonight’s episode, “Tricksters,” the series is bringing on Mark Hamill to reprise his role as The Trickster/James Jesse, when a new Trickster pops up and starts creating trouble.

“Just the idea of being asked to play a part decades later,” Hamill joked to reporters after a screening of the hour. “That never happens.”

For Hamill, the decision to appear on The CW’s take was an easy one.

TrickstersTHE FLASH is bringing on Mark Hamill to reprise his role as James Jesse/The Trickster in Tuesday’s episode of The CW freshman drama. And while fans of the original series may be — rightfully — stoked about the delicious guest spot, THE FLASH star Jesse L. Martin (Joe) may have their excitement beat.

In fact, when I spoke to Martin before the recent PaleyFest panel honoring THE FLASH, not only did he gush about Hamill’s appearance on the series, but he also copped to asking for an autograph…on a fabulous piece of memorabilia.

Check out Martin’s story!

THE FLASH has recruited another star from the original CBS series: STAR WARS’ Mark Hamill.

The-Flash-The-Trickster-Hamill — who played James Jesse (AKA The Trickster) in the ’90s FLASH series (a photo of his first go-round as The Trickster to the left)  — will bring a “new interpretation” of the role to The CW’s hit. In THE FLASH, “The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.” Hamill will appear in the 17th episode of THE FLASH’s first season.

“Having Mark reprise his role as The Trickster was on our original wish list when we were planning our version of THE FLASH,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement to HitFix, which was first to report the casting news. “Christmas and Chanukah came early for us this year when he said yes! We are beyond humbled and excited to have him joining us for another round of deadly trickery!”

Are you excited to see Hamill on THE FLASH?
