After two seasons of airing in the summer, WORLD OF DANCE is moving in-season with the Tuesday, February 26 season 3 premiere.
But that isn’t the only change: getting through the first round is now more difficult (acts need to score an 85, as opposed to the previously required 80), a new “redemption” round, and Jenna Dewan has stepped down as host. (Scott Evans will host season 3.)

WORLD OF DANCE has been renewed by NBC for a third season—weeks before the second year launches. Ne-Yo, Jennifer Lopez, and Derek Hough judge the dance competition; Jenna Dewan hosts the series.
“WORLD OF DANCE is a high-energy competition with immeasurable heart, compelling storytelling and unmatched talent,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment, in a statement. “With our exceptional judging panel leading the charge and competitors who are the best in what they do, we’re thrilled to once again bring viewers the Olympics of dance.” Read more
