THE VOICE welcomed back several former contestants during this week’s elimination show to debut their new songs, and it was nice to see how far they’ve come, wasn’t it?
After the show, I spoke with season 2′s Tony Lucca and season 3′s Nicholas David about their new singles, upcoming music, and more…
It turns out Jake isn’t as out of the picture on SCANDAL as the season 2 finale indicated — ABC confirms that Scott Foley (Jake) will be a series regular when the show returns for its third season.
What do you hope to see Jake up to in season 3? And how messed up is he going to be post-living in that hole?!

THE VOICE may be wrapping up its season next week, but that doesn’t mean singing competitions will be off the air on NBC — as you might have previewed this past week, there’s a new show called THE WINNER IS (hosted by Nick Lachey) where singers face off against each other in order to impress a panel of music experts for the chance to take home a lot of money.
THE WINNER IS will have another preview episode this Monday after THE VOICE (at 10 PM) and during the episode, the show will pit an adorable — and talented — child (Leah Grace) against a talented group (Legaci). This hardly seems fair, right?
Take a look at an exclusive preview from Monday’s episode to see what the two acts have to offer…
SMASH’s Megan Hilty might have been singing just this past weekend about her unemployment (thanks to NBC canceling her show), but as it turns out, she’ll now need to be singing another tune: a source confirms Hilty has joined the new NBC sitcom SEAN SAVES THE WORLD as a series regular. (TVLine was first to report the casting.)
Hilty’s new role also serves as a SMASH mini-reunion, as she’ll be playing BFF/co-worker to her former SMASH cohort Sean Hayes in the new sitcom. (Her role was played by Lindsay Sloane in the original pilot.) SEAN SAVES THE WORLD also stars Thomas Lennon (RENO 911) and Echo Kellum (BEN AND KATE).
Does Hilty’s involvement make you more excited for SEAN SAVES THE WORLD?
We’re months away from the start of the new television season, but the networks have made many of the new pilots available to press. And you know that when I see good (or bad) TV, odds are good I’ll have something to say about it.
While these aren’t reviews — many of these pilots aren’t final, and some can/will change before anything ends up on your TV in a few months — I sat down with my friend/vodcast partner-in-crime Danielle Turchiano (from Made Possible By Pop Culture) to talk about one pilot from each network that stood out to us.
Take a look at our thoughts on ABC’s SUPER FUN NIGHT, CBS’ THE CRAZY ONES, Fox’s ALMOST HUMAN, NBC’s THE MICHAEL J. FOX SHOW, and The CW’s THE TOMORROW PEOPLE…

They try to state their cases as to why they should not be fired from the company. Will their pleas fall on deaf ears and DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GO?
Season Finale: When Beth (Anne Heche) learns that the hospital where Emily (Madison Davenport) was born is being shut down, she decides she must try to raise funds to save it. Unfortunately for her, her friends are busy, distracted or not at all interested. Beth’s overzealousness soon becomes a big problem, but when she receives a divine visit from the Almighty herself, she realizes that she really can make a difference without making everyone do things her way.
THE VOICE’s Team Shakira may be out of the competition, but Shakira was in a good mood backstage after last night’s elimination show.
Shakira spoke with reporters about what she’ll be doing for her contestants after her time on the show is over, what she learned as an artist, and more…
Are you counting down the days until Shakira is back on THE VOICE?
