THE OFFICE Thursday on Give Me My Remote

The Office Thursday on GMMR

This past week I learned an extremely valuable life lesson – Never, and I mean NEVER go away on vacation again. Well at least not if said vacation means you are going to have to miss an episode of THE OFFICE. Seriously, I miss one episode in four seasons and THAT is the one I missed? It’s almost cruel if you ask me. But I’m back, and I’m soooo ready for tonight.

I don’t think anyone around here needs anything extra to get excited for tonight’s episode, but in the spirit of ‘THE OFFICE Thursday’, I thought we could have a little fun. First up is the oh so important matters of the heart. Weigh in on where you the OFFICE romances are heading. Then take out trivia challenge and see just how well you know the cast of THE OFFICE.

Tonight on THE OFFICE…
Night Out | 9:00-9:32pm on NBC
Michael and Dwight decide a trip to the Big Apple is in order. There, they hope to mingle with bigwig Ryan and his colleagues at the nightclubs. Back in Scranton, the staffers must work on Ryan’s pet Web-site project—on a Saturday no less. (Promo photos)

Make the Case…
Office romances are nobody’s business but the people involved, well, and those us watching at home. And it seems we all have something to say about the love lives of our favorite OFFICE drones. Now it’s your turn. What do YOU think about each of the Office romances?

Jim & Pam
Jim and Pam, The Office With a ring sitting in Jim’s pocket, a proposal can’t be too far away. (Sometimes it’s hard to believe just how far they’ve come.) But are Jim and Pam ready for this next step? Have they been kept apart to for too long and now it’s their time to be happy? Is it too soon for Pam to be engaged again? Will she say yes? If she says no, will it be the end for these two? Will they get their fairytale ending?

Andy, Angela & Dwight
Andy, Angela and Dwight Angela’s a hot ticket…she just can’t help it. But who is the better man for Ms. Martin? We’ve got Andy who goes out of his way to woo his lady (we will we ever forget ‘Take a Chance on Me’). He treats her kindly and seems to be really into her. But then we have Dwight. There’s a history there that just can’t be ignored. But he did kill her cat.

Jan & Michael
Michael and Jan, THE OFFICE No doubt these two are crazy. They have a completely dysfunctional relationship and have serious issues. But are Michael and Jan crazy perfect for each other? They are on the outs now, but should they get back together? Are they meant to be?

Getting to know the Dunder Mifflinites…
For those of us who live and breath THE OFFICE, we’ve learned a lot about the inhabitants of Dunder Mifflin Scranton. But how much do you know about their real life counterparts? Here’s a little trivia about the cast of THE OFFICE. Can you guess who belongs to each fun fact?

  • Spent a year teaching English in Costa Rica
  • This person’s birth name is William Charles Schneider
  • Has a degree in Psychology from Loyola University

So excited for tonights episode, that and I read some spoilers that actually made me a little happy about the season finale.
So I got the trivia down, it really wasn’t that hard when you’re in love with The Office as much as me.
    Here they are in order:
Rainn, John, Creed, Leslie, Brian, Angela, Phyllis, Oscar, Steve, BJ, Kate, Paul, Jenna, Mindy, Melora, Ed, Mike.

GMMR if you don’t want them posted like this you can delete this comment. Cheers.

Great trivia GMMR. I didn’t know all of those things.

As for the couples. I think Jim and Pam will be fine in the end. But I think it’s going to take them a little while to get there. I keep getting the feeling that it is too early for them to be engaged. I know it’s been almost a year but I think it’s happening fast for Pam. Jim has been in love with her for years and she hasn’t had the time he has. I think she loves him and will marry him. I worry that if she turns Jim down he will get impatient.

Angela needs to be with Dwight. They are made for each other. Andy is great but he’d be a much better fit with Kelly.

Michael needs to run far away from Jan. She is horrible to him and he deserves good love. I’m not sure the type of woman that would deal with Michael but it shoudl not be Jan.

I love Office Thursdays. Thansk GMMR

That is a wonderful video isn’t it? I watched that yesterday more times then I sould say, more times than a grown woman should admit actually!!!.

I hope i don’t get my dude card revoked for this but I think it would be so cool to be in the writers room when they are talking about the future of Jim and Pam. I bet they have some great discussions. Do they discuss stuff like the demise of Dave and Maddie on Moonlighting? How do they please the writers and the story at the same time. I think it would be cool.

I love the XFiles and I never knew that Deep Throat was Jan’s dad.

WOW – Becca, are you in editing? Because you should be! That was really incredible!

You left off one of my favorite Office couples…Kelly & Ryan!

Or is she dating Darryl still? Where is Kelly Kapoor? I miss her hilarious comments…

  7. Sands on April 24th, 2008 3:19 pm

Kelly and Ryan aren’t a couple anymore.

I thought a lot more people would have something to say about Jim and Pam. I don’t think they will get engaged this season. I think Jim will ask this season but I don’t think it will happen until next season. I also think that Pam will be the one to propose to Jim. Fancy New Beesly will come full cirlce.

I’m a fan of Dwangela so bring them on. I think Michael should run far away from Jan too.

That video was ADOREABLE!!!! One of the cutest I’ve seen in a long long time. Great job Becky, thanks for posting it Kath!

Loved the video! Great trivia – I consider myself a big fan, and I didn’t know the answers to some of those questions! fun!!

As for couples – I enjoy all of them and their uniqueness, but Pam and Jim’s relationship to me is the heart of the show. I would miss their interactions way more than the other couples mentioned.
