About Last Night…THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, COMMUNITY, GREY’S and more…

October 16, 2009 by

Do you know how long it’s been since I missed almost a full night of TV on Thursday? Since I’m taking a break from blogging while I recover, I at least wanted to open up the forum so you all could discuss some of YOUR Thursday night favorites.

Seels already shared her thoughts on BONES.  SB will be posting VAMPIRE DIARIES soon.  Erik will be taking on PARKS AND RECREATION, and Nicole is back this week with her review on SUPERNATURAL.  And Gretchen might be a bit late, but she’ll be sharing her thought on FRINGE soon enough. So stay tuned for all of those.

But there were plenty of other shows on last night (so I hear).  So you can become the blogger this week.  Write a review, share your favorite moments, cheer or jeer some of what you watched last night on TV.  Whether it was THE OFFICE, the season premiere of 30 ROCK, SURVIVOR, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE (which my DVR didn’t even record :), FLASH FORWARD, or anything else you might have watched, I’m turning GMMR over to you, rock stars.

Blog away!

My hubby and I were really turned off by last night’s over-acting on Flash Forward. We were so excited about this show but somehow it’s digressed into soap acting (dramatic pause) not that there’s anything wrong with that! Maybe it was just the story last night but with a packed Thursday night line-up this show better improve next week or it’s getting bumped from the dvr.

I was very disappointed in The Office “Mafia” episode. In fact, other than the wedding episode, this season has been a huge disappointment. The one bright spot has been Ellie Kemper as Erin. She’s fantastic. Not having Jim and Pam didn’t help the episode, even with the “phone appearances”. Also, Dwight has turned into a cartoon character, as has Kevin. I really hope they find their mojo quickly and that the rest of the season lives up to what has made me such a big fan in the first place.

I wholeheartedly agree with both posts!

Really?? The wedding episode (excepting the first 10 minutes) was the WORST episode all season!! :p I didn’t like it much. I thought the season started out funnier and has dwindled. Mafia was okay… but not as funny as it could have been.
I think that with a few exceptions, the characters have not evolved naturally, and I am sad to say that I kind of hope this will be the last season of The Office. That it will be able to make a graceful exit before it really jumps the shark.

Judging from posts on this and other sites, the Office is apparently pretty polarizing these days, and you are not allowed to like both of the last two episodes (you must hate at least one of the two).

Hate is a pretty strong word and one I reserve the right to never use in association with The Office
