Filed under #1 featured, Glee, Glee Spoilers

Don’t watch the video below.

Fight the urge to press the play button.

Just say NO!

If you’re a fan of GLEE, do you really want to spoil yourself by watching a full number from next week’s ‘Rocky Horror’ themed episode? Isn’t it better to just wait and experience it in the context of the show? Watching this video now means there is one less musical number to surprise you next Tuesday night.

Am I not swaying you? Still feel like watching the ‘Time Warp’ number as performed by the cast of GLEE? Okay, then go ahead and watch. Experience the awesomeness for yourself. I can’t blame you, I didn’t have the willpower to say no either.

Um, Chris Colfer…just when I thought I couldn’t love you more, you go all Riff Raff on me. And don’t even get me started on Cory Monteith in those sexy hipster glasses as Brad. Can’t wait until next Tuesday to watch!

P.S. GMMR’s Korbi Ghosh and Marisa Roffman will be getting an early look at the ep this Thursday at midnight, so be sure to come back to GiveMeMyRemote.com on Friday for their horrified reaction…

UNDERCOVERS is the only freshman series on the network still unsure of its fate, however NBC has just ordered four additional scripts.

HOUSE: ‘Unplanned Parenthood’

October 19, 2010 by
Filed under #1 featured, House, House Recap

Dude doctors don’t make the best baby-sitters.

I should know.

My mom dated a doctor once too and would sometimes leave me alone with him.

He was my dad.

Haha.

No, but seriously. True story, they’re not that awesome with kids because they’re far more comfortable focusing their attentions on, you know, things like cutting someone open, combatting deadly diseases, etc. SESAME STREET and smelly diapers isn’t really in their repertoire.

However, if something bad happens — like you accidentally swallow a dime that their friend Wilson left lying around or you’re born oxygen-deprived because your mommy’s got cancer — they step right up to the plate… which is pretty sweet.

And if I were Cuddy’s kid — or Cuddy — I wouldn’t have been worried at all. Wilson and House had things covered last night, no?

Did you enjoy the episode?

Any thoughts on the team’s efforts to find a lady doc?

And how ’bout our girl Jennifer Grey playing patient?

Our HOUSE guy, Erik Wilkinson, will be back later today with a more complete dissection of the hour. But for now, feel free to weigh in below…

CHUCK: ‘Chuck vs. the Couch Lock’

October 19, 2010 by

I know I’ve given CHUCK a bit of the tough love treatment over the past few weeks.  Sometimes you just have to be honest with the ones you love.  So it won’t come as much of a surprise to you that once again I feel the need to be brutally honest with how I felt about this week’s episode of CHUCK.  So believe me when I say that I loved “Chuck Versus The Couch Lock! The episode was a blast (just ask Morgan, he’ll tell you).

Everything that I’ve been nagging about seemed to dissipate with this one episode. Chuck and Sarah’s relationship was present but it didn’t dominate the mission. Casey took center stage and he was chuck-full of A Team awesomeness. The Buy Morons were utilized in the perfect way. Morgan and Alex’s relationship took an exciting turn.

I really had no complaints at all about last night’s fantastic ep. I have much more to say, but for now, I’m going to open up the comments so I can hear from YOU. I’ll be back soon with more of my thoughts on “Chuck vs. the Couch Lock.”

Share YOUR thoughts with other CHUCK fans now!

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: ‘Architect of Destruction’ Introduces Jennifer Morrison

October 19, 2010 by
Filed under #1 featured, HIMYM, How I Met Your Mother

For years, we’ve known Jennifer Morrison as the serious, young doc they call “Cameron” on HOUSE.

She’s got a super passionate fanbase.

She’s pretty damn hot.

And she can do drama.

But can she pull off comedy?

After last night’s episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, in which Morrison’s new character Zoey — a quirky activist chick who is adamantly against the destruction of this old New York building which is supposed to be torn down so that Ted’s new design of the GNB headquarters can be erected — was introduced, I would say, yeah, job well done.

You too?

Zoey and Ted facing off for weeks to come — show co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have promised they’ll become bitter enemies — opens a whole slew of hilarious storyline possibilities — I really hope they pull some shameful pranks and tricks on each other.

And, after it’s all over, maybe they’ll make out too.

What do you think?

Yes? No? Would you even want to see that?

Speak to me…

Monday nights at 10 p.m., what should you be doing?

“Do the CASTLE,” of course!

It’s not as dirty as it sounds (unfortunately), but it does include a nice dose of Nathan Fillion, so definitely worth it.

Check out an exclusive first look at the newest CASTLE promo, which will air for the first time tonight during DANCING WITH THE STARS.

There’s a lot happening on CASTLE this season.

In addition to the upcoming serial killer storyline, CASTLE star Seamus Dever (Ryan) tells me that viewers will finally be getting a Ryan-centric episode very soon. Also, a long-awaited hookup is about to go down.

Oh yes, Dever knows how to tease things well. Check it out…

Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, October 18, 2010

Rise and shine and give [fill in the blank as we wouldn’t want to impose our religious beliefs on you] your glory, glory!

Perhaps it’s a little bit of false pep, but it’s really early as I write this, so I’m gonna have to fake it until I make it (or until I can get a large coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts).

No need to fake my genuine excitement for tonight’s TV though. As always, so much to watch, so little space on the DVR.

Here are a few highlights from this evening’s TV lineup.  I would love to know what YOU are watching!

Chuck | 8pm on NBC
“Chuck Versus the Couch Look”
Casey is shadowed by his past when his former team returns and searches for him. Meanwhile, Chuck continues his quest to find his mother, and Morgan tries to summon the courage to disclose a delicate secret to Casey. Guest stars include Eric Roberts, Joel David Moore, Dave Batista and Mekenna Melvin.

How I Met Your Mother | 8pm on CBS
“Architect of Destruction”
Ted has a crisis when he falls for a beautiful woman who wants to save a landmark building that’s being destroyed to make room for a building he’s designing.

Dancing with the Stars | 8pm on ABC
“Performances”
The fifth week of performances features contestants dancing to TV-theme songs. [GMMR: Have they done this before? This sounds beyond lame. Seriously, people are going to be ballroom dancing to TV themes? Who gets ‘Full House’ and who gets ‘Growing Pains’?]

House | 8pm on Fox
“Unplanned Parenthood
The mother (Jennifer Grey) of a newborn with breathing difficulties and liver failure must make a very difficult decision that could affect her own health as well as her baby’s. Meanwhile, Cuddy tells House to hire a woman for his team, and he delegates the task to Foreman and Taub. Cuddy also asks House to babysit her daughter, Rachel, and he and Wilson learn a parenting lesson in the process.

Lie to Me | 9pm on Fox
“Dirty Loyal
The Lightman Group is hired to look into police profiling following an incident involving Wallowski (Monique Gabriela Curnen), and it turns out that Internal Affairs want Cal to incriminate her. Read more

MAD MEN: ‘Tomorrowland’ Closes the Season and Next Year Can’t Come Too Soon

October 18, 2010 by

No. No, no, no. Please don’t go.

If you’ve been watching MAD MEN this year and saw last night’s season finale, I know you were experiencing this same sentiment as the final moments of the episode played out.

Like your most fun friend going to live abroad for the year. Like the best date you’ve ever been on coming to an end. Feeling MAD MEN slip away for another ten or eleven months — especially now, just as our leading man, Don Draper, has done something so totally major and unexpected… and yet, so simple and predictable at the same time — it hits you right in the pit of your stomach.

To watch MAD MEN is to watch the work of some brilliant psychoanalysts, who understand the complexities and simplicities of human behavior so intricately, they’ve been able to not only create but develop and grow these three-dimensional, intensely interesting beings we’ve come to know as “Don” and “Betty” and “Peggy” and “Pete” and “Joan” and “Roger” and the list goes on.

And if you don’t watch MAD MEN, I’m sorry, because you are missing out on the greatest dramatic television series in the history of time.

For those who have had the pleasure, let’s review what we learned from last night…

SMALLVILLE 200: Homecoming

October 16, 2010 by
Filed under #1 featured, Posts by Sarah, Smallville

Hey SMALLVILLE fans! The 200th episode was by far the best of the season, right? Homecoming was PERFECT. The writers really outdid themselves this time. Between the flashbacks, Clark meeting himself in the future, and Brainiac 5, my eyes were glued while my brain was soaked in those scenes from the past!

When Homecoming kicked off we saw Clark having doubts with the mindset that Jor-El could be right after all this time, that he is not the hero he is supposed to be. Clark has been out of commission, not fighting crime as The Blur or spending time with Lois. Lois shows up to comfort him and coax him into attending their Smallville Class Reunion, but he only accepts with hesitation.

I was unsure how the writers would take us down memory lane without the iconic characters of Lana Lang or Chloe Sullivan, but they managed. It has been a long time since viewers have seen the Wall of Weird, Lana’s Kryptonite necklace, or the halls of Smallville High. Despite the absence of so many fan favorites, it was fantastic to remember the good old days, when life on Smallville was simple and all about whether or not Clark could play football like a regular kid, if he was going to date Lana again, or if Lex would discover the truth!

SUPERNATURAL: Weekend at Bobby’s

October 16, 2010 by
Filed under #1 featured, Posts by Nicole, Supernatural

This week’s SUPERNATURAL proved that Bobby Singer doesn’t spend his days away from Sam and Dean reading Raymond Chandler novels and making model airplanes, as you might imagine a grumpy older man who lives alone in the middle of nowhere might do. Instead, his house is hopping, with hunters and cops and FBI agents calling at all hours necessitating copious amounts of research and carefully concocted lies from the Winchester’s surrogate dad. While we’ve seen his multi-phone set-up before, we really got a sense of how hectic things can get for him, and in one of my favorite moments, how much work he has to do in order to be the bottomless barrel of information that the brothers rely on so often.

The episode also gave us insight into a couple of other recurring characters that we’ve come to know over the years. First, Bobby’s hunter buddy Rufus Turner, aka Luther Vandross, aka Ruben Studdard. He and Bobby make a wonderfully hilarious duo; one that I would like to see more of in the future if the opportunity presents itself. They had a great exchange after Rufus buried the monster he had killed on Bobby’s property, and Bobby later discovered the hole empty. Note to self: be very careful to follow the stabbing instructions when killing Japanese monsters.
