THE BACHELORETTE Season Premiere: Which Guys Stood Out?

Did anyone tune into the season premiere of THE BACHELORETTE last night?

Oy vey.

I actually really liked Ashley on the last season of THE BACHELOR — despite her paralyzing doubts about her relationship with Brad — so I do hope this season works out for her. But there are some, um, interesting guys in the mix for her heart.

While most of the guys blend together at this point, there were a few who caught my attention during the two-hour premiere and helped established a “do”s and “don’t”s list for being on a reality show…

DANCING WITH THE STARS Recap – The Finals, Part One

Comments Off on DANCING WITH THE STARS Recap – The Finals, Part One

The mirrorball trophy has inched closer as it’s come down to the finalists doing their last three dances. Tonight the competition had the judges’ picks and the always interesting freestyle round. Previous seasons have shown that the freestyle is the make or break for our dancers. I stil wonder if Stacy Kiebler could have won if she didn’t do a Saturday Night Fever routine or if Mya decided not to listen to Dmitry and do a Broadway routine.

The competition this year was only one hour, which made me miss the group challenges. Watching the dancers perform to the same song and have a small group sequence at the end was really helpful to compare styles and routines. I think that the athleticism of Hines, sensuality of Kirstie, and spunk of Chelsea would have been interesting to stare at side-by-side. Chelsea never danced next to Hines and Kirstie.

Since the news broke about Lisa Edelstein’s departure from HOUSE, the stakes of this week’s season finale grew by leaps and bounds. Was the creative team prepared to begin Season 8 with a clean slate, putting Dr. Lisa Cuddy in their rear view mirror? Was the news leaked to prepare viewers for a definitive end for Cuddy’s time at Princeton Plainsboro? What would the consequences be for Gregory House without his former flame and verbal sparring partner?

“Moving On” provided a mixed bag of answers to those questions. In the midst of unraveling a patient puzzle centered around an extraordinary mind cluttered by love, House sought closure in a shocking way. Spoilers follow, so read on at your own risk…

LOST Finale: Revisiting ‘The End’

May 23, 2011 by

As you may have heard, today is the one-year anniversary of LOST’s series finale. (Yes, I’m a nerd.)

Five months ago, I selected “The End” as one of my favorite episodes of 2010 and as it stands today, it’s probably up there as one of my favorite series finales of all-time. Ending a show is never easy and it seems especially true in science-fiction shows that series finales are often controversial and divide the fandom. “The End” is no exception.

Some fans were disappointed by the remaining questions left unanswered. Others were unhappy with whom their favorite characters ended up with romantically. And while I can say there are times I wish I had a few less lingering questions and there is still one couple I can’t bring myself to really care for, I still adored the episode.

After a roller coaster season, HOUSE wraps up its seventh year tonight with a brand new hour, “Moving On.”

The case of the week revolves around a performance artist (guest star Shohreh Aghdashloo), whose symptoms may have been self-inflicted as part her latest art piece. Plus, House seems to want to get back to a professional relationship with Cuddy, but the dramatic promos seem to indicate he may be crossing a major line in the hour.

Check out three previews from the episode…

Comments Off on COUGAR TOWN: One-On-One with SCRUBS Alum Sam Lloyd in Hawaii

When I hit the island of O’ahu with the cast and crew of COUGAR TOWN this March, one of the first people I ran into (at the hotel bar) just happened to be a very familiar face.

Sam Lloyd — better known to SCRUBS fans as Ted, the long-suffering lawyer — will guest star in this Wednesday’s COUGAR TOWN finale, which has the cul-de-sac crew chasing a heartbroken Travis to Hawaii, where he thinks he’s going to spend the rest of his sad days on earth.

While in Hawaii, Travis will make friends Ted, who has moved to the island after a heartbreak of his own — remember that ukelele playing hussy, the Gooch? Mhmm.

Ted, however, has come up with a unique antidote to cure his crushed soul. Take a look as Sam Lloyd explains…
