SUPERNATURAL Season Finale Recap: ‘Let it Bleed’/’The Man Who Knew Too Much’

Well…now that was definitely a twist I did not see coming.  I guess it’s safe to assume that my wish that the show would be able to get back to its simple, monster-killing roots in season 7 did not come true.  I made a comment in a recent post that the only real next step the show could take with respect to the heaven and hell aspect of the SUPERNATURAL world would be to have God himself return from wherever he’s been hiding. Well, that didn’t happen, but it looks like “God” will be a major issue next year nonetheless.  But there is much to discuss before we get to that, so let’s start from the beginning.

SUPERNATURAL may have had the week off for SMALLVILLE’s final episode, but The CW is making up for lost time by airing two back-to-back episodes for a special season finale block.

So what are the episodes about? For that answer, I went to SUPERNATURAL executive producers Sera Gamble and Robert Singer…

BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan was kind enough to get on the phone with me to discuss what may be happening with Booth and Brennan in season seven now that they’re parents-to-be…

It’s a good thing FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS isn’t airing its season finale tonight because I don’t think I’d be able to deal with so many Friday night shows being gone in one fell swoop! And what shows are those? Well, keep reading to find out!

BONES Season Finale Recap: ‘The Change in the Game’

May 19, 2011 by

Hey, hey, BONES fans! It’s our last chance to talk about season six, and there is quite a bit to discuss.

You know, the titles of these season finale episodes always make me a little wary, and this one, “The Change in the Game” was no different. After all, did we really need ANOTHER change of events? Some people have joked lately that if they hear the word “reset” come out of the mouths (or pens) of the writers, they might scream. So the question remains…is this is a re-set, or is it a shove forward? Or something in between? In my opinion, it’s not exactly a natural course of events for these characters, but that doesn’t necessarily make it unrealistic. More on that later, but first…

BONES: Is the Season Finale Game-Changing? Stephen Nathan Weighs in

May 19, 2011 by

Fans have been buzzing about what could potentially be going down in the BONES season finale since the episode title was revealed to be “The Change in the Game.” Yes, the murder investigation involves bowling, but surely the show wouldn’t waste a title so significant on something that was solely case-related, right?

Does the title perhaps pertain to the longstanding will-they-won’t-they tension changing between Booth and Brennan? I asked BONES creator Hart Hanson last month whether there was any concern about hyping up the fans for a potential change in the dynamic if they weren’t prepared to actually get Booth and Brennan together this season, but he laughed and replied, “Oh, I wouldn’t answer that in a million years, Marisa.”

So I tried another approach. I went to BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan to get his take on whether the hour was a legitimate game changer for the series and thankfully he was a bit more willing to talk…

Comments Off on BIG BANG THEORY Finale Preview: Peep the Penny-Leonard-Priya Fun

Tonight, on the fourth season finale of THE BIG BANG THEORY, Bernadette will graduate from her Ph.D. program, which becomes the perfect opportunity for the boys to remind Wolowitz the he’s the only member of their crew who isn’t a doctor…and they delight in doing so.

But Wolowitz isn’t the only unhappy guy in the group this evening. After hearing Leonard and his sister, Priya, engaging in a “Star Trek” bedroom fantasy, Raj decides it’s time for him to move in with Sheldon.

A good idea? Or a disaster just waiting to happen?

And what will Leonard’s ex (and Raj’s new neighbor), Penny, have to say about the situation?

Check out this clip from tonight’s ep to see her take Leonard down mercilessly…

As you might have guessed, tonight’s season finale of BONES is jam-packed. But one thing we haven’t talked about yet is the return of one of my favorite recurring characters — Brennan’s dad, Max (played by Ryan O’Neal).

When I caught up with Emily Deschanel (Brennan) before the Paley Center panel honoring her series, we talked about Max’s reappearance and whether Brennan’s dad might impact her relationship with Booth…
