Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

CHICAGO MED: I’m very, very glad Sharon apologized to Hannah. I absolutely get why she was worried about her kid, but it was unfair pressure to put on an underling, especially one she had just brought to the hospital.

THE MASKED SINGER: I say it all the time, but I hate this format. Miss Teddy should have been able to go further! But so should Ringmaster. Sigh.

CHICAGO FIRE: OKAY, NO THANK YOU TO THAT BROKEN LEG.

Eamonn Walker was incredible in this hour, full stop. Boden was remarkable in trying to save everyone and keep the gunman alive, too. It wasn’t quite as bubble-esque as “My Lucky Day,” but this was easily one of my favorite episodes of the season. (Also, I hate that I felt bad for the gunman, but I did. And the lawyer? Kind of brilliant.)

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: That game night was pretty perfect. But holy emotional roller coaster, Batman. I’m so, so, so glad Sophia and Gary reunited. I’m SO glad Gary doesn’t have cancer. That game night was bonkers (I’m glad Eddie and Katherine were just a little too chummy versus there being blatant bad or awkwardness with them. I know Katherine was worried about Anna and her drinking, but it felt like a small bump versus a Very Big Thing.)

Regina…this poor woman needs a break. I wanted to hug her after her conversations with her mom and her dad. And I hope her parents can find some peace with each other and their situation.

[For more on the episode, here’s what writer/director DJ Nash had to say.]

CHICAGO P.D.: I wasn’t sure what to make of Torres for most of the episode. I figured it would be way too easy for him to be bad, but so many things weren’t adding up. He was being defiant and disobeying orders. He was lying. But the reveal that he put his abusive stepfather into a coma (and a wheelchair)? That threw me. The kicker that Torres called the police six times before he beat up his stepdad—only for them to not help save him or his mother—was an absolute gut punch. I don’t know if we’ll see Torres again, but it would be interesting to come back to him in a few years when he has a bit more experience under his belt. (Maybe he’ll listen a bit more to Halstead then.)
