THE MASKED SINGER: Ringmaster in THE MASKED SINGER season finale episode airing Wed. May 18 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. CR: Michael Becker / FOX. © 2022 FOX MEDIA LLC. CR: FOX.

Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

CHICAGO MED: Well, the fact that Charles’ daughter knows his new girlfriend because they did family therapy together is…so uncomfortable.

The scene with Ethan and his father’s partner broke my heart. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for Ethan’s father to have a whole separate life, and how difficult it was for his partner to only have this small part of him, too. I hope Ethan can have some peace now that he knows more about his dad.

Also glad Blake opted to have the surgery. I’ve really been enjoying her this season on the show, and I’ll admit I’m a little concerned things could go awry, but…holding out hope she gets it and she can return next season.

THE MASKED SINGER: I thought Ringmaster gave the best performances last night, but I’m not surprised Firefly won. But holy moly, I had no clue Ringmaster was Hayley Orrantia! I obviously knew she had a great voice from when she’s sung on THE GOLDBERGS, but wow. Good for her.

CHICAGO FIRE: Oh my God, the investigation into who broke the couch may have been the most ridiculous subplot of the season—but so freaking funny.

I’m glad Stella and Severide talked out their concerns about taking the leap to get married. They’re right….they deal with a lot more objectively scary things on the job every day, but this is hard for them.

Emma is just evil, man.

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: Even going into the finale expecting a surprise, I didn’t see Gary’s secret coming. In hindsight, yeah, it makes sense…he was sick, he kept filming things, etc. But, wow. It’s absolutely gutting to think his cancer is back, and I really hope he’s able to beat this.

I’m glad Anna was honest with Eddie, though it breaks my heart she was responsible for Peter’s death. He tormented her, too, albeit in a different way.

CHICAGO P.D.: Who could have guessed that Voight lying to Anna would blow up?! (Everyone. Everyone could have guessed.) On paper, I can understand why he did it, but if you’re trusting her with a task this big, just trust her to do what needs to get done. Treat her like an adult. Now everything is a mess.
