MASTERCHEF and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: TOP 10 TO 8: L-R: Contestants Beau and Jordan dance a Viennese waltz routine on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airing Wednesday, June 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2022 Fox Media LLC. CR: Michael Becker

Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

MASTERCHEF: I’ve only seen team challenges in the JUNIOR edition, but my goodness, the adults were a mess. Alejandro got fired from his leadership position?! To be fair, once you drop food on the floor and ATTEMPT TO SERVE IT, you deserve to be demoted (and kicked off the show, which he was), but there was so much more chaos than I’ve seen in those challenges. How do kids handle this better than grown adults?!

(I’m sorry, but also anyone who ever was served food by Alejandro has to be worried he did unsanitary things in the kitchen now, right? Yikes.)

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Jordan and Beau were the highlight of the night for me, though, frankly, all but Alexis and Thiago felt great. Considering Jordan only had three hours to pull off her dance, it’s a bummer the judges didn’t save her.

I do hate they’re swapping partners every week, though. I know they’ve done this, frequently, but it feels a lot more difficult to stomach when we barely got to know them through the audition and choreography round. Let us build some sort of connection to…anything? Please?
