CHICAGO FIRE: Kara Killmer to Exit

Kara Killmer is exiting CHICAGO FIRE during season 12, a source has confirmed to Give Me My Remote.

Killmer joined the series in season 3, and has portrayed Sylvie Brett for over 200 episodes across FIRE, CHICAGO P.D., and CHICAGO MED.

Brett was a big part of the CHICAGO FIRE cliffhanger, as Brett found herself in a life-changing position: She was on the verge of adopting a child and her former boyfriend Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) proposed to her.

Killmer’s exit episode is still TBA.

CHICAGO FIRE is set to return midseason, with Andrea Newman serving as the new showrunner. (Additionally, Taylor Kinney will return in season 12.)

Update (1:00 PM): Killmer alluded to her exit on Instagram, posting throwback photos to her early days on the show.
