Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!
CHICAGO MED: A solid episode, with a new life fear unlocked: a BBQ BRISTLE made its way into food?!?!? I don’t even eat meat and now I’m terrified.

Goodwin deserves the world, and I’m at least glad she has a new supportive partner (please) while everything else may be falling apart around her. And, yeah, it’s her ex who seems to be unwell, but this will have an impact on her—both because of who she is and because this is her daughter’s father. No matter how this resolves, this is going to be a tough, shaky journey.

I’m still struggling with Ahmad, but pairing her (platonically) with Archer is actually a really interesting move. When Archer started off, he was a lot more abrasive and disruptive to the dynamic, but they settled him into a good combo of line-pusher and still a team player (sometimes) when they realized he was going to stick around.

(Admittedly, I laughed out loud at the “Congrats on your new kidney sign.”)

CHICAGO P.D.: Torres is very, very good at doing undercover work. The fact that he researched stuff beyond his file likely saved his life. I’ve missed him on the team.

But, yeah…I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to realize this Gloria situation is going to implode or explode. They may be two similar souls, but this is going to be a mess-mess. And with Torres already quasi-at his breaking point with his mom, this has the potential to spiral, fast.

(I’m guessing Atwater might figure it out first—love their friendship—but I’m hoping someone on the team is looped in fairly fast to at least give him some kind of guidance.)

Also, Atwater casually telling Torres about the Burzek engagement was very funny.

[For more on the episode, here’s what Benjamin Levy Aguilar shared.]
