Comments Off on NBC to Bring Back HEROES With HEROES REBORN

Well, it seems 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY has officially started a trend: NBC announced during the Olympics that HEROES will return next year as an event miniseries.

“The enormous impact HEROES had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke in a statement. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

And this is the teaser for the show that debuted during the Olympics…

Comments Off on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: NBC Boss Robert Greenblatt on Cast Changes and the Show’s Future, Plus Dick Wolf Teases a CHICAGO PD Crossover

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT has had its share of shakeups over the past few seasons, but the past few months have led to two mainstays departing the squad: Sergeant Munch (Richard Belzer) and Captain Cragen.

“I think the cast member changes have been the natural attrition of a show that’s 15 years old,” Robert Greenblatt told reporters after his executive session.. “I think it’s been great to bring new cast members into the show as well.”

But just because the show is down two people, Greenblatt said fans shouldn’t expect any new faces to suddenly appear any time soon.

HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT’s second season won’t officially kick off until January 20, 2014, but if you’ve been missing the show (as you should have been), NBC has a treat for you: a special holiday installment this Monday (December 23rd) at 10 PM.

“Well, basically, we have a tree,” HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT host Jane Lynch told reporters on the set of the series last month. “We played our games with some holiday themes here and there. But basically it’s our ‘coming back on the air and feeling festive [episode]’ — we didn’t play any season-specific [games]. We have Rachel Bilson, Andy Roddick, Brooklyn Decker, Ray Romano, [Gavin DeGraw, and Cheryl Hines as the celebrities competing]. [Andy and Brooklyn] are the first couple. We have a lot of couples coming up. They’re on opposite teams.”

And it may be the holiday season, but the HGN contestants won’t be taking it easy — they’re in it to win.

Comments Off on THE BLACKLIST: What You Need to Know About the New NBC Series

There are approximately one million new shows debuting this season*, and it’s going to get difficult to keep track of them all.

To help you out, for every new show, I’m going to basically create a hub of info on the day of the premiere — pilot photos, my quick take on the pilot (or what I’ve seen so far), what’s been written about it so far, and when you can watch it.

Next up, THE BLACKLIST…
