It appears the Castle-Beckett fans are really excited about Monday’s brand new episode of CASTLE. I guess it’s a good thing there’s plenty to tease about the duo for this episode!

For those of you who are more interested in the case aspect — an apparent robbery-murder of a cab driver leads to a deadly discovery which could destroy the city — don’t worry, I have some stuff for you, too. When I chatted with CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe, he teased the case and some family drama for Castle…

Comments Off on SMALLVILLE Recap: ‘Masquerade’

“Masquerade,” SMALLVILLE’s latest episode, was just that: one big bad ball where just about everybody, excluding Lois, has been hiding their own identities for so long they are not sure who they are anymore, until an encounter with Desaad.

Desaad, a servant of Darkseid, is back and playing on all those emotions that most would never admit. After trapping several FBI agents and infecting them with the darkness, Chloe and Oliver find themselves in the middle of it all after innocently pretending to be the Jones’ in order to get a table. Without Oliver’s playboy identity opening doors and Chloe’s non-existent…well, existence, a night out in public is now a luxury and apparently dangerous, after they end up in the back of a trunk.

I think we kind of owe Canada an apology.

For those of you who missed the second part of my interview with FRINGE showrunners Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman, when we discussed Friday’s episode, “6B,” I brought up the spoilery Canadian promo. Neither of them had seen the promo in question, but when I mentioned it showed Peter and Olivia kissing, Pinkner jokingly warned me, “Don’t trust things that come out of Canada.”

New rule: trust everything that comes out of Canada.

However, it’s possible Canada owes us an apology for giving us a promo that RHYMED. So…maybe we’re even?

After watching the previews for tonight’s brand new episode of SMALLVILLE, I’m not sure what I’m more excited for: Clark wearing glasses or Chloe being missing.

Don’t get me wrong, I adore Chloe. That’s why I’m hoping she’ll get a chance to kick some butt — whether it’s literally or figuratively — on whoever thought it was a smart idea to mess with her. Did they not realize that was a huge mistake?!

Take a look at a preview and clip from tonight’s hour, “Masquerade”…

Beckie tries to balance her desire for attachment with all the children with the firmness required to discipline them. Eddie and Lydia, the newest family members, grapple with frustration over still learning the English language and a great fear of the dark, since in Ghana there were real-life fears of violence at nighttime in their community. All the children feel free to run outside at will and ignore Mom, bedtime is fraught with turmoil, and mealtimes can be a battle zone. Compounding these challenges is the fact that Mom, at times, feels overwhelmed, outnumbered and at her limit, and very much on her own while her husband is away. Can Supernanny bring peace to this Camp Pendleton home?

GREY’S ANATOMY Recap: ‘Golden Hour’

Comments Off on GREY’S ANATOMY Recap: ‘Golden Hour’

Welcome to GREY’S ANATOMY, the “24” edition! This week’s episode happens in real time to illustrate how an hour can mean life or death for some patients.

But for me, the most remarkable thing about the hour is that it’s the first one in…I’m gonna go with forever… that centers on Meredith. Missed you, Mer! I was beginning to wonder if the “Grey” in the title of the show actually refers to Lexie. (Sidenote: What happens if Ellen Pompeo leaves the show? Does Lexie get to do the voiceovers? Or maybe Ellis could do them beyond-the-grave style a la DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES…)

BONES Recap: ‘The Bikini in the Soup’

February 18, 2011 by

Hey, hey BONES fans! Hope you are having a great week. I’ve gotta say that if Valentine’s Day has to extend days after the actual date, having an episode likes this helps! As Cam said, “There is death in this world, and there is romance. Today death is the loser and romance wins.” I like that. Of course, we have to talk a LITTLE bit about death. It IS a BONES episode, after all. So let’s get to it. Starting with….

THE CASE:

When a woman is found cooked in her at-home tanning bed, Brennan and Booth are on the case. Brennan and Hodgins identify the woman’s gender based on her skeletal structure (and the bikini in the “soup” of a body she has become), and Booth arrives with an identity of the homeowner, Wendy Bovitz. Wendy was a wedding planner, and when Booth and Sweets question her devoted assistant, Darrin, they learn that Wendy was planning an extremely high-profile wedding for Raina Erickson. Darrin is devastated and admits he loved Wendy. Meanwhile, Booth and Sweets aren’t completely convinced by his emotional devotion while Brennan and Clark determine that Wendy was murdered (vs. just baking to death in her tanning bed).

This week’s episode of THE OFFICE thrust us into the world of Michael Scott’s long-in-the-making epic spy adventure film THREAT LEVEL MIDNIGHT, and it was a legendary adventure. (You can read GMMR’s review of the episode here.)

Along with great guest appearances by beloved characters from years past (welcome back, Rashida Jones!) and dashing action sequences, the episode also produced…a new dance craze?

COMMUNITY Recap: ‘Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking’

Mind games. Daddy issues. LEVAR BURTON!

COMMUNITY was out in full force this week, and in the process we learned a lot more about how our favorite characters work when faced with (admittedly strange) adversity.

The episode opened with the study group finding out that Pierce had been hospitalized after going too far with his Andy-Dick-hallucinating pill problem. The group is understandably frazzled, and they immediately rush to his side. They arrive to the startling news that Pierce is dying.

This is false, of course— it’s still a sitcom, and not one written by Joss Whedon (who, for the uninitiated, is famous for his willingness to kill major characters). No, Pierce just constructed this lie to “exact [his] revenge” on his friends for leaving him out so much lately.
