Comments Off on The TV Talk Podcast – Fall TV (Part I): GLEE, NEW GIRL, HIMYM, GOSSIP GIRL, RINGER and More…

We know that the new Fall TV season has already started. We’ve done our best to try and meet up but it’s taken us a little bit to make schedules work. We’re happy to announce that finally Kath and Dan were able to meet up and discuss all things Fall TV 2011.

Because we talked for over 3.5 hours, we’ve split the podcast into 2 parts. I mean, we love a dramatic Fall TV Event but we don’t know if you need 3.5 hours in one sitting. As Sadie from AWKWARD would say: “You’re Welcome!”

Fall TV Podcast (Part 1)

Highlights:

  • Fall TV Preview – we go through each night of the week, talk about all of the new and returning shows. We stop to discuss any shows that strike our fancy, stay tuned!
  • “Anywhoozle”-gate 2011.
  • We’re always so professional… eating, drinking or crumpling of things never happens during the recording of this podcast!
  • What new fall show do we describe as “Jurassic Park meets GLEE”?
  • We go very in depth over the first two episodes of GLEE as well as give a mildly spoilerific preview of next week’s episode “Asian F” (which we’ve both watched). What keeps us coming back and what makes us almost quit the show week to week? Find out gleeks!
  • What character misstep and plotpoint made Ducky so mad he had to eat a donut during the podcast? Tune in to find out!

Shows covered in Part 1: Fall TV Preview – How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Terra Nova, The Sing-Off, Hart of Dixie, House, The Playboy Club, Last Man Standing, Glee, New Girl, Raising Hope, Ringer, Parenthood

*Recorded: 9/30/11

FRINGE Recap: ‘One Night in October’

September 30, 2011 by

“One Night in October” isn’t technically a big hour for the series. It’s not a season premiere or a season finale or even an episode with an event so major that fans would naturally point to it as a prime example of the show.

And yet hours like these are exactly why FRINGE is one of the best shows on TV right now.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE Adds 5 More Cast Members to Online Production

September 30, 2011 by
Filed under One Life to Live, TV News

ONE LIFE TO LIVE still has several months before it signs off of ABC, but The Online Network (Prospect Park’s new home for it and ALL MY CHILDREN), has secured five more actors — and current head writer Ron Carlivati — when the show moves online early next year, they announced in a statement earlier today.

“Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz of TOLN have confirmed today that a deal is in place for “One Life to Live” Emmy®-winning Head Writer and Consulting Producer Ron Carlivati, subject to a WGA agreement, to continue with the show when it moves online at the beginning of next year. Carlivati has been with the show since 1996 and a head writer since 2007.

Pending a final agreement with AFTRA, additional deals are in place for cast members Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan Banks), Kelley Missal (Danielle Rayburn), Sean Ringgold (Shaun Evans), Andrew Trischitta (Jack Manning) and Jerry VerDorn (Clint Buchanan) to join previously announced cast including Ted King, Michael Easton, Kassie DePaiva and Erika Slezak.”

Pretty awesome, right? Who are you hoping signs on next?

FRINGE: John Noble Teases the New Walter-Peter Relationship, Tension Between Universes and More

Where is FRINGE’s Peter Bishop? Well…I still don’t know.

One promising piece of intel? When I sat down to chat with John Noble (Walter) earlier this month, he revealed he has worked with Joshua Jackson (Peter) this season.

So…there’s that.

But just because Peter may be returning to our universe relatively soon, that’s not to say the drama is coming to an end.

Take a look at some juicy teases from Noble!

GLEE SPOILERS: “Asian F” Teasers

Two words – Mike Chang.

Yes, the man formerly known as “Other Asian” is coming out in a big way in next week’s episode of GLEE. (Oh calm yourself Klaine fans, I didn’t mean coming out in that way.)

I got an early look at next week’s episode of GLEE entitled “Asian F”. I thought I would share a few teasers to hold you over until Tuesday. I feel like I’ve seen so many spoilers out there already that I’m not sure if much of anything I have to say will be new, but I figure it will be for some, right?

As always, a reminder that I’m teasing and not spoiling. Not to say you won’t be spoiled, so stay away if you would rather not know anything…which despite this post I would encourage you all to do. Don’t read any further and just wait to see the ep for yourself on Tuesday.

But for those of you who need a fix, here we go…

Comments Off on THE X FACTOR: Simon Cowell on his Relationship with Paula Abdul and Those Pesky ‘DOA’s. Plus, Paula Responds!

As you may have seen on Wednesday’s episode of THE X FACTOR, judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were unhappy that the women on the panel (Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger) were voting against putting certain female contestants through. Cowell claimed the contestants were “DOA,” because Abdul and Scherzinger’s “no” votes automatically made it impossible for them to move on to the next round.

When I sat down with Cowell earlier this month, he expanded on the “DOA” notion. Plus, how is his relationship with Abdul now?

Take a look…

Comments Off on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: ‘The End of the Affair’ Teases

The phrase “game-changing” is incredibly overused when talking about big television episodes, but there is no denying tonight’s excellent episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, “The End of the Affair” is relationship-changing for more than one duo.

“Tonight, we get to learn some old, old secrets and return to play with some old friends/foes,” executive producer Julie Plec teased to a group of reporters earlier this week.

How many hours we get of BONES this season may be up in the air, but one thing is for certain — fans of the Fox drama will get a dose of John Francis Daley (Sweets) on an upcoming episode of the show’s quasi-spinoff, THE FINDER.

Last night, THE FINDER executive producer Dan Sackheim tweeted a photo of Daley on set with THE FINDER stars Geoff Stults and Michael Clarke Duncan, and BONES/THE FINDER creator Hart Hanson retweeted the picture with the comment, “See anyone you recognize from Bones?”
