WHISKEY CAVALIER – “Spain, Trains, and Automobiles” – Will, Frankie and Susan are joined by Will’s new girlfriend, MI6 agent Emma Davies, as they head to Spain on a mission to retrieve a case of plutonium from the wrong hands, on “Whiskey Cavalier,” airing WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: My God, all I want now is to see these characters on FAMILY FEUD. It would be such a fun mess!

SCHOOLED: It’s fascinating how the show is trying to set up the CB and Lainey relationship while also keeping one foot in the past with Lainey and Barry. On one hand, fans spent so many years watching that relationship blossom on THE GOLDBERGS and they only just broke up. But unless Barry is leaving THE GOLDBERGS—and there’s no reason to expect he would—it leaves him a bit in suspended motion if his main love interest is on another show in another decade. It also makes it hard to invest in CB and Lainey. (Also, that Christian Slater mention made me miss the real Adam F. Goldberg’s old show BREAKING IN.)

JANE THE VIRGIN: That. Final. Scene. I’ve appreciated how they’ve played Jason/Michael and Jane, for the most part—though her being so ready to let go/give up on him felt a little out of character—and I get why Jason was eager to go back to his old life. But that memory montage broke my heart…and I cannot wait to see what Michael does now that he knows who he really is.

WHISKEY CAVALIER: As if Will and Frankie weren’t enough fun trouble (I cannot believe he admitted to his girlfriend they shared wine and she gave him a massage), holy awful date, Standish and Tyna. I’m glad he was able to redeem himself by just showing off his true persona.

SEAL TEAM: It’s impressive that the show is really good at lulling you into a false sense of security before blowing things up, literally and figuratively. Even though you knew things were going to go awry, that first explosion was pretty brutal. And then the secondary bomb that took out Clay was just salt in the wound. I expect he’ll survive, but what a kick to the team.

And poor Lisa. I really hope she can stick through training.
