It’s a big week for LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT star Peter Scanavino, whose Carisi is a key figure for Rollins (Kelli Giddish) as she takes care of her ailing father on the Thursday, April 22 episode of SVU (at 9/8c), and then jumps to LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (at 10/9c) to play an important role in Izak’s (Ibrahim Renno) prosecution.

But off-screen, Scanavino is busying filming SVU’s season 22 finale, which the actor says is a big hour.

“I’ll say this: There is the scene at the end of the show that involves all the major characters,” Scanavino teases. “It provides a lot of closure and ties up a lot of loose ends in an extremely well-written, tight, emotional way. When I read it for the first time, I got goosebumps. And I’m just going to say that.”

For a show that has had some major finales, those are big words. But “this is not the fake sell: tune in and then nothing happens—this is a really big finale for the show,” he says. “And I think, hopefully, a lot of people will be happy and excited.”

Any theories?
