Update (May 2): Giddish was unable to film the unofficial SVU-ORGANIZED CRIME crossover. Originally, it was “a girl power episode,” Truitt told Today. “It’s me, Jet, Captain Benson and Rollins…I love there’s so many women in this episode…on the case, getting stuff done.” Now, she wrote on Twitter, “It was when I said it. Then things changed. 🤷🏾‍♀️”

A rep for the show confirmed the change, with SVU star Octavio Pisano now appearing in the May 5 hour.

Original story: LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT star Kelli Giddish is crossing over to LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME for a May hour, Give Me My Remote has learned.

Giddish’s Detective Amanda Rollins will appear in episode 20, “Lost One,” which is set to air on Thursday, May 5. Though not an official crossover event, OC star Christopher Meloni will appear in the SVU episode, and Giddish is one of the SVU stars who will appear on OC that night.

In “Lost One,” Rollins works with hacker/detective Jet (Ainsley Seiger), but will also share time with Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt). (Notably, Rollins—who joined SVU in the immediate aftermath of Stabler’s unexpected exit—has yet to share any meaningful time with her now-boss Benson’s former partner.)

Giddish is the fifth SVU regular/former regular to appear on OC, with Mariska Hargitay, Peter Scanavino, Demore Barnes, and Ice T appearing in the first two seasons.

Though Rollins appeared in crossovers with the ONE CHICAGO world (via 2014 episodes of CHICAGO FIRE and CHICAGO P.D.), this marks the first time the character will appear in a non-SVU LAW & ORDER show.

Update (April 18): Here’s the official logline for the hour: “When a 9-year-old girl is kidnapped in connection with the Brotherhood, Stabler and the task force must work together with Benson and the SVU to track down the culprits before it’s too late.”
