FBI: INTERNATIONAL season 1 spoilers

“Get That Revolution Started” – The Fly Team works to hunt down the sniper responsible for killing an American during an attack targeting a biomedical lab in Belgium. Also, Jaeger clashes with her boss at Europol over her allegiance to the Fly Team, on the CBS Original series FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, May 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL returns for its final three episodes of its freshman season on Tuesday, May 10, but the big moves aren’t only contained on-screen—the series was also picked up for two additional seasons by CBS.

In the next episode, however, things are a bit more shaky for the Fly Team: The squad is at risk of losing one of their biggest allies when Jaeger’s (Christiane Paul) partnership with the agents becomes an issue for her Europol boss.

How will she handle that? INTERNATIONAL showrunner Derek Haas offered a few teases about the final episodes of season 1 (and beyond!) via email…

The next episode finds Jaeger going up against her Europol boss about Fly Team. What can you tease about that fight and how she may have to tweak her relationship with them going forward?
Yes, you’re right. Jaeger is going to get in hot water with her officious boss at Europol. He is a petty man to cross, and he will let her know that he doesn’t appreciate the relationship she has built with the fly team.

Scott came to Jamie as a friend at the end of the last episode. Given their history, how honest was he with her about what was bothering him? And as they try and move forward, will it be in a platonic zone or are they going to keep being drawn to each other romantically?
They are more in a friend zone right now, but there are deep feelings for each other that serve as a foundation for their friendship. It is a deep closeness they have, and they will need to rely on all of that closeness in the finale.

We’ve seen Vo and Raines struggle with cases that hit pretty close to home. How has that experience shaped how they’re approaching their job?
I think both Vo and Raines bought into Forrester’s philosophy, which is a real love for the job they do. They love to catch bad guys in Europe. They have a bounce in their step every day when they show up at work. Still, all of our characters are faced with dilemmas when personal feelings cross with professional cases. That will be an ongoing challenge, particularly for Forrester coming up soon.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL season 1 spoilers

“On These Waters” – Following a frenzied attack by gunmen aboard an American-owned river cruise ship on the Danube, the Fly Team heads to Vienna to investigate why the boat was targeted. Also, Forrester realizes his feelings of mistrust caused by his past are affecting his personal relationships, on the CBS Original series FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, April 26 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

I’m sure there’s not MUCH you can tease about Tank in the next few episodes, but if he has anything in particular coming up you are able to share… #TeamTank
Haha! We are Team Tank too! There’s nothing new to share there. He’s a good boy.

As you’re wrapping up the first season, what has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned about the storytelling you’re able to do in the FBI: INTERNATIONAL universe?
Biggest lesson is that we have to do stories that can’t be replicated on other shows shooting in the US, including our sister shows. We have to tell stories that can only take place internationally! It’s right there in our title. That’s what makes our show unique.

With the two-season renewal, how does having those episodes guaranteed impact the storytelling you’re hoping to do moving forward?
Now that we know we’re going to be around for a while, we can open up the storytelling and have some more expansive storylines. We’ll also be able to really country hop more this next season where we shoot in different countries more often.

What else would you like to tease/share about the final episodes of season 1?
I’ll just say to buckle up, and get ready for our biggest episodes yet. We broke the budget in these last few.
