Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

BEAT SHAZAM: It was quite a comeback from Brandi and Tahtianna, who started off rough. But, again, the songs got HARD in the penultimate round. I’ve never even heard of “Meet Me At Our Spot”?! Even the Britney Spears song “Radar”—which is a song I like!—was more niche than the majority of her hits.

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: A lot of genuinely fun acts! Anna Deguzman’s magic act was absolutely charming—and bonkers to hear a female has never headlined a magic show on Vegas—and she was absolutely charming. The Freedom Singers were so talented and broke my heart. Murmuration, Howie’s Golden Buzzer act, were so fascinating (and good!); I look forward to seeing what they do next. And Maureen Langan was funny! A good episode.

(Uh, did not think there would be two Rubik’s Cube acts would be shown, let alone make it through. But, uh, how do you escalate an act when you’ve already SET YOURSELF ON FIRE?)

DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS: A perfectly fun episode. While it’s always a bit rough when it’s a two-contestant show, I’m glad at least both of them left with a decent amount of money.
