“All Bets Are Off” – After Dante’s old training partner is taken hostage while working undercover in an illegal casino, McCall hires J.J., a former gambling addict (guest star Mike Epps), to assist with the mission. Meanwhile, Dee joins a peer counseling group and learns that some students have been bullying her on a social media page, on the CBS Original series THE EQUALIZER, Sunday, March 17 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). Dante’s (Tory Kittles) former training partner gets into trouble while undercover on the Sunday, March 17 episode of THE EQUALIZER.

“Dante sort of closed himself off to a lot of the people that worked with him since he lost his partner [early in the series],” Kittles tells Give Me My Remote. “But there is someone close to him that he sort of came up in the academy with that comes in for an episode and we get to delve into that personal relationship. And McCall and the team get brought in because that person’s life is threatened. And so because he can’t necessarily call his peers, his work people, he has to call McCall up with this particular case.”

Though Kittles is coy about the status of the former partners’ relationship—“You’re trying to dig into all the goods! You’ll have to watch to find out.”—he’s clear about his excitement for the season and what’s to come.

“We always tackle topical issues,” he acknowledges. “We’re gonna get into a trans episode told from a very powerful place. We’re gonna get to meet more of Mel’s family.”

“And we also have an episode where we are going to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of hip hop,” he continues. “As you know, our fearless leader, Queen Latifah, started in hip hop—so you can only imagine like some of the people that are going to show up in that episode in New York City. So we have a lot of big things coming up.”
