ENLISTED: Geoff Stults on Pete’s PTSD, Jill, and Why You Should Keep Watching

Hello ENLISTED fans! (And hello to those of you who are still considering whether or not to give this show a chance!) I’ll admit, I thought the show and network’s decision to invite viewers to point out some mistakes in the pilot was bold and risky. Hopefully, the honest move will pay off, and viewers will continue to give the show a chance to prove itself. While I enjoyed the pilot, I am hoping viewers enjoy the next three episodes as much as I did.

On a recent conference call with series lead Geoff Stults (Sgt. ENLISTED Webisodes: The Cast Goes Through Boot Camp

ENLISTED — the new Fox comedy about a group of misfits on an Army base — is not only one of the most heartfelt/ genuine (and good) shows of the upcoming midseason, but the actors are committed to getting their parts down.

Over the summer, the cast (Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell, Parker Young, Angelique Cabral, and Keith David) went to a real boot camp in Texas and underwent basic training…and Fox filmed it all.

ENLISTED vs. BONES Prop War: ENLISTED’s Kevin Biegel Promises ‘We’re Coming For You’

The television industry can be super serious at times…and then there are those times you come across people just having way too much fun.

Case in point? The recent BONES versus ENLISTED prop war.

The two shows film on the Fox lot (and actually shoot on neighboring sound stages), and with both BONES creator Hart Hanson and ENLISTED creator Kevin Biegel being more than a little mischievous (not to mention ENLISTED star Geoff Stults formerly starred on Hanson’s BONES “spinoff” THE FINDER), they’ve taken to leaving little mementos from their show on the other’s sets. (So far, they’ve planted a couple of posters, a tire, and a little plane.)

But in a town where you often have to go big or go home, it seems the best is yet to come.

When I visited the ENLISTED set earlier this week, Biegel told me he wants to end this prop war in a massive, massive way. (Fellow executive producer Mike Royce claims he wants no part in it, but let’s see if they can rope him in.) Take a look at what they’re hoping to do…

Fox Pushes ENLISTED to Midseason

Fox has opted to push ENLISTED to midseason in “order to take advantage of our winter sports promotional platform,” the network announced in a press release. The new (planned) premiere is Friday, January 10th at 9:30 PM.

As of now, the plan is for RAISING HOPE to take ENLISTED’s scheduled place for the fall, with BONES set to air Fridays at 8 PM starting November 8th, with RAISING HOPE airing back-to-back episodes (from 9 – 10 PM) for the remainder of the calendar year.
