FBI three season pickup

“No One Left Behind” – The team is thrown into a highly political case after four members of the Taliban are shot and one is kidnapped in New York with no record of their entrance into the country. Having served in the U.S. Army, this case hits close to home for OA, who struggles to open up to Gemma about his past in Afghanistan, on FBI, Tuesday, May 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). After an unconventional network television season—dual strikes delaying the start of production and most shows airing between 10-13 installments—FBI got a big vote of confidence for its future: The series got a three-season pickup, taking its run through (at least) season 9.

The FBI team gets entangled in a very delicate case on the Tuesday, May 7 hour, “No One Left Behind.”

FBI Maggie back

“Ready or Not” – Maggie returns from medical leave in time to help the team investigate two homicides: a law student on track to attend the FBI Academy and a young man with possible gang ties. Also, an inadvertent revelation from Maggie causes OA to worry that she is rushing back into the job too quickly, on the CBS Original series FBI, Tuesday, Nov. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Pictured (L-R): Missy Peregrym as Special Agent Maggie Bell and Zeeko Zaki as Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan. Photo: Bennett Raglin/CBS ©2022 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Maggie (Missy Peregrym) is back on the Tuesday, November 15 episode of FBI, after spending the last few months recovering from her on-the-job poisoning.

“It is definitely an emotional return, character-wise and actor-wise,” FBI star Zeeko Zaki (OA) previously told Give Me My Remote.

While viewers haven’t seen Maggie since April—when she was comatose, in the immediate aftermath of her attack—she’s “eager to return to work” in “Ready or Not,” FBI boss Rick Eid says via email.

On the Tuesday, October 11 episode of FBI, “Victim,” OA (Zeeko Zaki) finds himself in an unexpectedly tough spot when he’s mugged on the way to work.

“In this episode, you really get to see OA hit the entire spectrum of his possible emotional journey,” Zaki previews to Give Me My Remote. “I’m really excited about the episode, because in playing a more vulnerable side of OA, I am equally as excited to see if I got to pull it off; it was definitely a very intense filming experience. But the episode itself really, really was eye-opening to make and hopefully to watch.”

FBI Zeeko Zaki OA Maggie

“Fear Nothing” – OA is forced to confront one of his biggest fears when the team discovers that deadly sarin gas may have been sold to terrorists, on the CBS Original series FBI, Tuesday, April 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

When FBI needed to temporarily write out Maggie for Missy Peregrym‘s maternity leave, the series’ writers had to find a way to have the character plausibly be away for a few months. (Peregrym announced she’ll miss the first few episodes of season 5, but return from her maternity leave in September.) As a result, in “Fear Nothing,” the federal agent was locked in a room and exposed to sarin gas—while her partner, OA (Zeeko Zaki), desperately tried to free her.

Ultimately, he was successful (and able to administer an antidote to the poison), but the damage was done, and Maggie was left comatose. Though the doctor was hopeful she’d eventually recover, OA was determined to see his partner to see how she was doing for himself.
