After being off-screen for more than six months while recovering from her poisoning, Maggie (Missy Peregrym) is back on FBI starting with the Tuesday, November 15 hour, “Ready or Not.” (In real-life, Peregrym was taking maternity leave.)

CBS previously teased that Maggie “returns from medical leave in time to help the team investigate the homicides of a law student on track to attend Quantico and a young man with possible gang ties” in the hour. Plus, “an inadvertent revelation from Maggie to OA causes him to worry that his partner is rushing back into the job too quickly.”

“It is definitely an emotional return, character-wise and actor-wise,” FBI star Zeeko Zaki (OA) tells Give Me My Remote. “For me, I really am grateful and excited for you guys to see how her character is brought back into the fold. And [outside of] any storylines, it’s just really, really great to see the whole squad [together], and to see [Missy] back after her second kid. And this is really great, and I’m just excited for us to get back into our groove before the temperatures drop below freezing.”

“Ready or Not” – Maggie returns from medical leave in time to help the team investigate two homicides: a law student on track to attend the FBI Academy and a young man with possible gang ties. Also, an inadvertent revelation from Maggie causes OA to worry that she is rushing back into the job too quickly, on the CBS Original series FBI, Tuesday, Nov. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. But as the partners work to get back into their old groove, Maggie won’t be the only one who has changed—OA has recently gone through some of his own trauma, which has led to him examining his approach to the job.

“It’s been very interesting, because I think if you spend [all these] months away from somebody, you are coming back to a different person,” Zaki acknowledges. “But as [they] figure out what’s the best way to rejoin [this partnership], I think [he’s] spending some time and keeping that new person [he’s become] to himself, and seeing if she discovers it—or if it comes out in front of her. It’s gonna definitely part of the journey.”

And while OA and Maggie readjust, their colleagues are going to do their best to assist—at least as much as they can. “With everything that she went through, of course, we know Maggie—she’s ready for reentry, 110 percent,” John Boyd (Scola) points out. “But there’s gonna be some bumps in the road. And OA is in the middle of that with her. The rest of the team is kind of on the outer side of it, feeling the ripples, and trying to support and help deal with that.”
