6 Dream LAW & ORDER Franchise Crossover Pairings

July 14, 2022 by

With LAW & ORDER, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, and LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME on the verge of potentially doing the franchise’s first three-show crossover, the potential for characters meeting up feels endless. Will we get a big scene with the majority of the casts? A three-show police bust? An all-star courtroom showdown or team-up?

With so many possible variations, here are six groups whose interactions could be very memorable…

SVU's Peter Scanavino and L&O's Sam Waterston

SVU's Peter Scanavino joked last year that he wanted to work with Waterston so much, the LAW & ORDER writers "can make me a waiter on that show, and I’ll bring him a coffee—that’s what I would do [to work with him]." Thankfully, with Waterston's McCoy and Scanavino's Carisi both working as lawyers (McCoy as a District Attorney and Carisi as an ADA), they shouldn't need to go to those lengths to justify the duo sharing the screen. LAW & ORDER Thursdays return September 22 at 8/7c on NBC.
