TRANSPLANT Exclusive Clip: Claire Tries to Keep York Memorial From Spiraling into Chaos

After a software glitch hits York Memorial on the Friday, January 19 episode of TRANSPLANT (at 8/7c), the Emergency Department is overrun with patients—leaving the staff overwhelmed.

In an exclusive clip from the hour, “A Sort Of Homecoming,” Claire (Torri Higginson) tries to reach out to a patient who left without seeing a doctor…while also juggling impatient people at the ED and escalating medical issues.

When Mags (Laurence Leboeuf) starts to complain about the wait time, Claire breaks. “You do not get to be cranky,” Claire tells her. “I have been trying to take a single bite of this protein bar for hours, and every time I go to unwrap it—”

“Does anybody actually work here?!” a patient demands, interrupting her. (And, uh, proving her point.)

While the patient is frustrated about his wait time, he has something more pressing to tell her: Other patients really need immediate medical attention.

And here’s what NBC teases about the hour: “Searching for answers, Bash goes to Lebanon to do relief work in a refugee camp. A software glitch wreaks havoc in the already hectic Emergency Department. Mags searches for a new cardiologist. Claire has an unfortunate day at work.”
