FARGO will return for a second season, FX announced during its Television Critics Association press tour day.

According to FX, the return of FARGO will “feature an all-new cast of characters, a new time period and a new ‘true crime’ story that will unfold over the course of 10 episodes.”

“We could not be more proud of Fargo,” said John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks & FX Productions in a statement. “Noah’s audacious, bordering on hubristic riff on my favorite Coen brothers film earned 18 Emmy nominations – the most for a single program in our history. Fargo was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment.”

breaking-bad-thumb The 30th annual Television Critics Association (TCA) awards will be handed out on Saturday night, and I may be slightly biased (I am a TCA member, so I actually get to vote for these particular awards), but there are some greatly deserving shows/individuals being honored by critics this year.

SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles (Dean) has stepped behind the camera for a handful of episodes throughout the show’s first nine seasons, and he returned to the director’s chair for the show’s upcoming tenth season.

And after the SUPERNATURAL Television Critics Association press tour panel honoring the show’s tenth year, I sat down with Ackles to talk about what the latest directing experience was like for him…

GIRLFRIENDS’ GUIDE TO DIVORCE creator Marti Noxon is a TV vet — some of the show’s she’s written for: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, GLEE, and PRIVATE PRACTICE — but what might be slightly lesser known is that she’s also wickedly funny.

Comments Off on SUBURGATORY: Emily Kapnek on the Possibility of it Being Revived

SUBURGATORY — one of the sweetest, most heartfelt comedies on television — was canceled in May by ABC, but rumors surfaced shortly after that its studio, Warner Bros., was looking to find it a new home.

After the Television Critics Association press tour panel for Kapnek’s new ABC comedy, SELFIE, she was asked about the status of SUBURGATORY, but sadly, the news isn’t great.

“I keep checking [the trades],” Kapnek joked. “I don’t know. Honestly, it’s so hard for me: I’m so excited about COMMUNITY [returning], I’m so excited for ENLISTED [being in talks for a revival]. Ultimately, it’s a decision that Warner Bros. is in control of. And it has to make sense for them as a business model. It’s tough. I wish I could say I had more hope at this point, but…I really don’t know.”
