LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT’s McGrath (Terry Serpico) pushed for the newly formed elite task force to move fast against Shadowërk, the revenge-for-hire website.

While ORGANIZED CRIME’s Jet (Ainsley Seiger) trying to impact the server, McGrath wanted everyone in New York who had been a part of the larger scheme charged—and he went all out, complete with a press conference.

But the squad tried to warn McGrath about being too forward with their approach…it could tip their perp off.

“If we move too aggressively, this guy is just going to shut it down,” Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) warned him.

Unfortunately, Olivia was correct, as the site went offline. McGrath demanded answers, and Jet noted it was either shut down “or we’re being manipulated.”

McGrath lost his temper, taking it out on Jet—much to Olivia and Elliot’s (Christopher Meloni) dismay.

Later, Rollins (Kelli Giddish) stopped by her old stomping grounds to update Olivia on the suspect profile. “He didn’t take it down to evade arrest, he doesn’t care about that,” Rollins said. Instead, the site was sullied for him right now. It would be back up again, she warned.

“You’re enjoying this,” Olivia pointed out.

“Oh, yeah,” Amanda said. “It’s sick, right?”

While Amanda thought Elliot had tipped her off to her her unease with her new life, Olivia noted she just knew Amanda.

Olivia wasn’t exactly done with the personal talk, as she and Elliot stayed back in her office to work the case.

“I wish I could bottle this,” Elliot said, while the duo ate Chinese food together. “This moment.” But, the former partners noted, things change. And then change again.

Elliot, meanwhile, questioned Olivia about the unopened Christmas present she had in her office that he had noticed earlier. She told him it was from the McCanns.

“They’re normal,” Olivia said. Elliot pointed out it could have been perishable; he also asked her if he could open it up…and joked it was “kind of a crime” she had an unopened Christmas present in May.

She said no, and he gave her his take on the situation: “Whatever’s inside this box, you’re afraid it’s too normal,” Elliot said. And he noted “too normal” scared her more than anything in her life.

“Liv, deflect all you want–it’s the truth,” he said. But they got a bite on the surveillance on something they were monitoring for the Shadowërk site—a fake IT guy came to an office in Ohio.

But as the team got to Ohio, they found a new problem: The site was back up and Olivia and Elliot had a hit out on them.
