NBC Teases Stellaride’s Reunion in New ONE CHICAGO Promo

CHICAGO FIRE’s Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) is finally coming home.

In a new promo for the January 17 return of the ONE CHICAGO block, Severide is back with his wife, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), and the duo seem to be on solid ground.

“I’m here. We’re in this together,” Severide tells Kidd, in the video below, before the duo share a kiss.

Though Stellaride hadn’t officially split, the duo had been apart for months at the end of season 11—Severide left to join “the best arson training investigation in the world” in Alabama in a March episode. (The move was done to accommodate Kinney’s temporary hiatus from the show to deal with a personal matter.) FIRE mentioned Severide during the spring episodes, including Kidd going out of town to visit him.

But Kidd reached her breaking point in the season 11 finale. After initially doubting the relationship, she instead dug in, telling her colleagues, “I’m going to get my husband and bring him back to Chicago.”
