GHOSTS’ Devan Chandler Long Teases Thor Will Experience a ‘Series of Emotions’ in ‘The Baby Bjorn’

The GHOSTS world expands a bit on the Thursday, November 3 episode, “The Baby Bjorn,” when Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) trip to the Farnsbys’ home reveals a Viking ghost lives on the property.

Naturally, Sam thinks of Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) and wonders if the duo might know each other. “He has a very close resemblance to Thorfinn, I’ll say that,” Long teases to Give Me My Remote. “He is from Thor’s past. We don’t know the relation—friend, family, shipmate, enemy—but someone along those lines, and he’s gonna come back into Thor’s afterlife.”

Thorfinn, understandably, has a big reaction to the news. “He handles it just like everyone else would, but with just a little more oomph,” Long says with a laugh. “Because [this] dude has been dead for a thousand years, and then all of a sudden someone tells you that, ‘Hey, by the way, there’s a Viking living [so close] and you know him.’ I mean, that’s a shocker. So Thor’s naturally gonna think it’s a joke, and then go through the series of emotions: anger; why did I not know this?; but then sadness,’Oh, I’ve been missing out on that.’ Thor’s gonna taste the rainbow of all the emotions dealing with this person living two houses away.”

Unfortunately for Thor and the other Viking, living that far apart poses quite a problem for the ghosts, who can’t leave their respective property. “It is kind of cool, because they can’t just go up and talk to each other, so they’re going to have to figure out a way to communicate from property to property,” Long previews. “That’s actually going to be a fun little scene there where we discover how Thorfinn talks to this other Viking ghost.”
