BONES: John Francis Daley Teases Sweets’ Increased Involvement, the Latest on ‘Swaisy’

April 2, 2012 by

With BONES’ Brennan pregnant for the entire season (so far), that’s allowed for some of the more supporting players to take larger roles in solving the crimes. The most noticeable “promotion” of sorts? John Francis Daley’s Sweets bump up to Booth’s “partner.”

Before last month’s PaleyFest, I spoke with Daley about their new work relationship, getting that gun, and the latest on the Sweets and Daisy romance…

Comments Off on BONES: Michaela Conlin on Brennan and Angela’s Relationship Post-Babies

Brennan and Angela have always had a special relationship on BONES, but now with both women being relatively new mothers, things have changed for the duo. Yes, that mean the “glug glug, woo hoo” pep talk days are past us, but that doesn’t necessarily need to be a bad thing, right?

Before the PaleyFest panel honoring BONES, I talked with Michaela Conlin (Angela) about this new dynamic…

BONES’ ‘The Crack in the Code’ Pushed Back to January

December 5, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, Bones, TV News

BONES fans who were looking forward to the start of the new serial killer arc are going to have to wait a little bit longer: Fox has pushed back “The Crack in the Code” — the show’s midseason finale — from its original air date of December 15th to January 12th where it will serve as a lead-in for THE FINDER series premiere. (ETA: Fox has officially confirmed the news and revealed that “The Finder,” the BONES episode that launched the quasi-spinoff last year, will rerun on December 15th.)

THE FINDER: BONES’ John Francis Daley to Guest Star

How many hours we get of BONES this season may be up in the air, but one thing is for certain — fans of the Fox drama will get a dose of John Francis Daley (Sweets) on an upcoming episode of the show’s quasi-spinoff, THE FINDER.

Last night, THE FINDER executive producer Dan Sackheim tweeted a photo of Daley on set with THE FINDER stars Geoff Stults and Michael Clarke Duncan, and BONES/THE FINDER creator Hart Hanson retweeted the picture with the comment, “See anyone you recognize from Bones?”

Will BONES Have More Than 13 Episodes In Season 7?

September 16, 2011 by

Remember how Give Me My Remote told you just a few days ago that the previously ordered 13-episode seventh season of BONES (which itself was a decrease from the original full-season order) might now be getting a few extra hours?

According to TVLine, Fox has requested the drama produce an additional four episodes that will be aired, well, some point in the future. The network had no comment on the rumored extra episodes.

When BONES creator Hart Hanson told me earlier this week that the series could be making up to 18 episodes this season, my first question was how that would work with scheduling…and he admitted he wasn’t entirely sure about that, either. (BONES starts its new season on November 3rd and will run six straight episodes. THE FINDER, Hanson’s new show and a quasi-BONES spinoff, will take its spot starting in January for 13 weeks and then BONES is scheduled to return for 7 additional episodes.)

BONES at Comic-Con: Look Back to 2010!

July 22, 2011 by

As many BONES fans know, the show and its quasi-spinoff THE FINDER were supposed to be holding their panels right now at Comic-Con. Unfortunately, the panel was canceled earlier this week, so we’re going to have to wait a teeny bit longer for more news on season 7.

While this is in no way going to be the same, Give Me My Remote is looking back at our coverage of last year’s BONES panel to help you get your fix. If you want to relive what went down in 2010, take a look at our live chat from the panel, a press room interview with BONES creator Hart Hanson and some face time with series stars David Boreanaz (Booth) and Emily Deschanel (Brennan).

Crazy to see the difference a year makes, right?!

BONES: Saffron Burrows Teases ‘The Finder’

April 21, 2011 by

After months of teasing, the BONES backdoor pilot/crossover with a potential new show/spinoff, “The Finder,” will finally air tonight.

As you may remember, the episode/potential series follows former military man Walter Sherman, who can locate anything. However, his polarizing personality — including extreme paranoia and blunt questions/assumptions – makes him difficult to deal with. He’s brought into the BONES world via his connection to Booth, but the two men have a longstanding grudge against each other for reasons viewers will learn tonight. Walter is assisted on cases by his two partners Ike (who is Walter’s bartender and pilot) and Leo (his lawyer).

I caught up with Saffron Burrows (Ike) and we talked about her role, why she was drawn to this show, working with Geoff Stults (Walter) and Michael Clarke Duncan (Leo) and much more…

BONES Spin-Off in the Works

October 22, 2010 by

Well, this is interesting.

As Deadline TV first reported earlier today, Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that BONES is about to be spun off into a new potential series.

BONES will apparently introduce a new character, named Walter Sherman — aka “the Locator” — in an upcoming episode with the intention of having him headline a brand-spankin’ new show. Word is, BONES mastermind Hart Hanson will be responsible for creating the spin-off.

The actor — who has yet to be cast — playing the character of Walter is scheduled to begin shooting on December 6th and first appear on the series sometime in 2011.

The network pulled a similar move a few years back when they introduced the character of Lucas on HOUSE, with the intention of spinning him off into his own private investigation series, but it never came to pass. It is worth noting that the writers did like Lucas enough to keep him recurring the following season.

So what will this new dude on BONES be like?
