FBI: Alana De La Garza Previews the Case That ‘Unravels Isobel’s World’

When a young woman is abducted on the Tuesday, January 3 episode of FBI, the team tries to track her down—and figure out who she really is.

“This case is particularly heavy for Isobel, because it involves a little girl who was kidnapped and killed almost 20 years ago,” Alana De La Garza, who plays Isobel, teases to Give Me My Remote via email. “Isobel is stunned to learn that that’s not exactly what happened. DNA is discovered that unravels Isobel’s world.”

With new intel on her side, “Izzy becomes uncompromising in the quest to make things right,” De La Garza shares. “Not only for the now-adult Annabelle, but for her family, as well.”

To try and get to the bottom of the mystery, Isobel reaches out to her former partner, Jake Reed, who worked the case with her. “Tate Donovan guest stars as Isobel’s ex-partner in the FBI,” De La Garza previews. “But we also discover that he’s actually her ex-boyfriend, as well. She is confronted with the fact that maybe their relationship clouded her judgment concerning the case.”

While Isobel and Jake’s history might be messy, De La Garza praises her time working with Donovan. “Tate is a wonderful actor who makes shooting easy,” she says. “He’s a great creative addition and fun to hang out with. I’m a Tate fan.”
