Ghosts season 3

“Woodstone’s Hottest Couple” – When teen ghost Stephanie (Odessa A’zion), who lives in the attic, awakens to find that her crush Trevor is now dating Hetty, she decides to sabotage all the relationships at Woodstone, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, April 27 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. In a season full of twists and turns, one of the most shocking things GHOSTS pulled off was the unconventional Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman) coupling.

“I love Asher Grodman so much, and we’ve had so much fun,” Wisocky tells Give Me My Remote

Both actors pitched a possible pairing of their characters to the writers back in the first season. “It is ridiculous—but they’re also a match made in heaven,” Wisocky says. “They’re both very interested in power and status; they’re conniving and they’re working an angle and they love money. They love being on top. But they also kind of detest one another.”

“It was this volatile chemistry and a fun spin on a May-December romance,” she continues. “The fans initially didn’t know what to make of that couple. And quite a few were not too pleased, which was so fun to follow that—I think quite a few of them have been won over, because…it’s not a traditional romance. Although, you find that there is some actual real connection and feeling and care for one another. That union is best left to the shadows; I do hope it continues. I hope they get up to more shenanigans together.”

Technically, Hetty and Trevor are the longest-running established, uh, couple among the ghosts, but “I don’t know that it’s fair to paint them as the picture of romantic health, by any means,” Wisocky says with a laugh. “Sam and Jay are the ghost mama and ghost papa—that relationship, it’s like the beating heart of the show. The health of their marriage and their relationship is the thing that keeps the whole thing together.”

Wisocky is also quick to praise Nigel (John Hartman) and Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), the house’s most stable supernatural pairing, who got engaged in the season finale. “There’s a marriage proposal by the end of the season, which is pretty remarkable and amazing,” she gushes. “We love Nigel and Isaac. To get to see that kind of change; [Isaac] had such an amazing journey over the first two seasons as well. So after 250 years of being in the closet, it’s a fast track that all of us are on. Once Samantha falls down the stairs and hits her head and can see us, there’s a renaissance that gets kicked off. So much possibility. And so that’s why I think you’re seeing so many things happen so quickly.”

Ghosts season 3

“Alberta’s Podcast” – Sam decides to host a podcast exploring the mystery surrounding Alberta’s death. Also, Hetty develops an unusual relationship with a broken washing machine, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, Oct. 6 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Looking back at the season as a whole, Wisocky pointed to Hetty’s…experimentation…with a washing machine as one of her favorite moments to play: “That was so much fun.”

“I also love working with Sheila Carrasco,” she continues. “I love that Flower-Hetty dynamic. By the end of the season, Flower and Hetty are now roommates…I’m trying to pitch that I come back with little braids in my hair. But Sheila and I enjoy pitching—we text one another all the time about various things that Hetty and Flower could get up to.”

“I just love the show,” she continues. “I feel so lucky. I love this company of people. I feel lucky to have a job, period, but to have this one is really, really a delight.”
